(9th Ed) TNCC provides expert, rapid care for trauma patients, teaching critical thinking, systematic assessment (like the primary/secondary survey), and hands-on interventions for injuries, all based on Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) guidelines, and is recognized internationally for four years after completing a course and exams.
Instructor-led, hands-on class format reinforces skills proficiency.
TNCC offers consistent, high-quality trauma care education.
- For RNs only: Only Registered Nurses are eligible to receive the certification, though LPNs and first responders can take the course.
- Focuses on acute trauma: Teaches rapid identification and management of life-threatening injuries.
- Trauma Nursing Process: A systematic approach to assessing and managing trauma patients.
- Key Skills: Airway management, shock, brain/head trauma, hemorrhage control, and more.
- Evidence-Based Practices: Incorporates the latest trauma nursing guidelines.
**The student is responsible for obtaining the most current edition of the TNCC provider manual. The student is required to complete an online pre-course assessment and provide the certificate when presenting for class.**
