Luetta Flanagin, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, PNP-C

Luetta received her BSN in nursing from Fort Hays State University in 1984 and her Master’s degree in nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from West Texas A & M University in 1993. She is nationally certified as both a Family Nurse Practitioner and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She has practiced in areas that include: labor and delivery, intensive care, emergency room, and education. Mrs. Flanagin joined the Family Center for Health Care in 1997.

Luetta says she enjoys getting to know the patients she cares for and strives to establish a good relationship with them. “I believe in listening closely to each and every patient and then treating each individual with respect, dignity, and compassion.”

As a Family Nurse Practitioner she provides primary health care to individuals across the life-span; from infants to the elderly. Her specialty areas include: women’s health including contraception and hormone replacement, weight loss counseling and management, care of newborns and children, and chronic disease management.

Luetta is a member of the National & Kansas Nurses Associations, Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health, and National Association of Nurse Practitioners. Her community involvement includes: volunteering time to assist with scorekeeping and admissions at school sporting events and serving as a panel member interviewing prospective Dental Hygiene students at Colby Community College. Luetta serves as an adjunct faculty member for the Colby Community College nursing program.

Luetta was born in Colby and raised near Menlo. She is married to Jay who is a fourth generation Thomas County farmer. They have 3 children: Jared, Andrew, and Kaitlyn. The family is a member of the Colby United Methodist Church. In her spare time Luetta enjoys spending time with her children, attending their sport and school activities, reading, quilting, gardening, and snow skiing.
