The education department at Citizens Medical Center, Inc. provides and coordinates patient, community, and professional education.

Patient and Community Education:

Several educational programs designed to improve your health are offered. These include Kansans Optimizing Health Program (KOHP): Living with Chronic Health Issues, Journey for Control-Diabetes Classes, and Childbirth Education class.  To register for these classes please call (785) 460-4850 or complete and submit the form below and the education department will contact you.    

Professional Education:

Educational opportunities such as BLS, ACLS, NRP, and others are offered to maintain knowledgeable and skilled professionals to benefit our organization and the communities we serve. Childbirth Education Classes:
This is a four (4) week class that provides you with knowledge to allow you to prepare for labor and delivery process, and breastfeeding.  The goal is to provide you with information to minimize your fears and help you make informed decisions.  You will also learn methods to help you relax and cope and how your partner or coach can assist during labor and birth. 
 
*Family Center for Health Care OB Patients who are planning to give birth at CMC and who are Kancare eligible may qualify for a discount in the $50 class fees by calling 785-460-4873.
